And with that, Week 8 is in the books.

Injuries and opportunities go together like peanut butter and jelly or lamb and tuna fish. Many players capitalized on their opportunities in bigger roles and some downright shined, looking at you Mike White. Others had doors opened for them in week 8. As a fantasy manager you too can capitalize on the opportunities given to backup or bit players for your week 9 waiver wire targets.

A couple quarterbacks showed out in week 8. Some names from days past were thrust back into the spotlight amongst running backs. Not all players will be season long contributors but as we work our way through the bye weeks and as the playoff picture is cemented it is time to use that free agency money to put points on the board.
