And with that, Week 8 is in the books.
Injuries and opportunities go together like peanut butter and jelly or lamb and tuna fish. Many players capitalized on their opportunities in bigger roles and some downright shined, looking at you Mike White. Others had doors opened for them in week 8. As a fantasy manager you too can capitalize on the opportunities given to backup or bit players for your week 9 waiver wire targets.
A couple quarterbacks showed out in week 8. Some names from days past were thrust back into the spotlight amongst running backs. Not all players will be season long contributors but as we work our way through the bye weeks and as the playoff picture is cemented it is time to use that free agency money to put points on the board. Check out the players below for our week 9 waiver wire targets and turn those dollar, dollar bills into fantasy gold!

A fantasy football degenerate with an extreme love for the game. The only position Sam has ever played in any form of competitive football is armchair quarterback.
An affinity for football and watching games together was a part of growing up for him and his three brothers. 30 plus years as a Vikings fan has made him a glutton for punishment and a believer that he can do something his hometown team can’t, put together a championship roster.
Now 22 years into his fantasy football general manager career he is here to offer insight, advice, and the same hope for championships that he desperately clutches to for his Purple People Eaters.
